Job Description

NVIDIA is widely considered to be a leader in autonomous drive technology employing some of the most innovative engineers and technologists. We are looking for a senior verification engineer to verify that our SW handles errors correctly and behaves safely across all operating conditions, enabling the next generation of safe, AI-powered autonomous driving systems. You will be part of a multi-functional team that coordinates and develops novel safety assurance methodologies, including definition of safety metrics, data and simulation driven safety verification of the entire autonomous driving system. In this role, you will focus on safety verification for Autonomous Driving continuously and at scale, generating structured evidence to support a safety case.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Define safety verification plans and test cases across multiple integration levels and test platforms (e.g., vehicle, data replay, simulations)

  • Collaborate with architecture/safety/design/verification teams for execution and prioritization

  • Drive continuous improvement of methods, processes and tools for requirements- and data-driven safety evaluation of autonomous vehicles and ADAS

  • Provide high quality documentation and support for safety verification, including training for verification engineers as needed

  • Present safety evaluation results to key stakeholders and management to mitigate risks to the project.

\\What We Need to See:

  • MS or higher in Computer Science, Robotics or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience in verification

  • A structured approach to system and software development

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ways to Stand Out from the crowd:

  • V&V of safety-critical systems

  • Data science and statistics experience along with Programming skills in Python and C++

  • Experience in Safety, systems engineering, Machine Learning or Robotics

  • Sensor technologies, e.g. radar, lidar, camera

  • Worked on System safety methodologies & practices (FMEA, FTA, STPA,..) and Safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508, UL4600, ISO21448,..)

The base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.
