What you will do
The Indirect Tax Technology team supports the delivery of domestic and international tax services within our Indirect Tax practice.
As a Staff on the technology team, your role will include:
Creating and contributing to hands-on analytics software development projects.
Monitoring and researching relevant performance improvement trends, tools and technologies.
Identifying and implementing enhancements to ongoing service delivery capabilities.
Ensuring data analytics activities are reliable and timely.
Researching complex tax issues and developing quality, practical tax approaches.
Contributing to client satisfaction by effectively responding to client needs and delivering timely, high-quality services and work products.
Participating in client meetings and working within teams to deliver fully integrated services.
Job requirements and preferences
Required qualifications
A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or other related major; supported by a strong academic record.
A strong combined background in application development and working with business process data.
Superior project management, interpersonal, communication, teaming and organizational skills.
An analytical approach to work, with a focus on using data to overcome complex business challenges.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Preferred qualifications
Experience working with Excel, Access, VBA, SQL, .NET, Java and other business or accounting-related programming languages.
What we offer
We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The salary range for this job, in the US, is $72,000 - $88,000. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
