As a risk intern, you\'ll support essential project tasks, learn from experienced colleagues, and begin to build your expertise within your chosen domain. Within the Risk Technology Practice, you\'ll play a crucial role in safeguarding our clients\' businesses. As an entry-level staff member, you\'ll be immersed in a world of cutting-edge technology designed to predict, analyze, and manage risks. You\'ll contribute to the development and implementation of sophisticated risk management tools, help ensure compliance with ever-evolving regulations, and assist in crafting robust disaster recovery plans. Your fresh perspective will be vital as we continuously monitor the risk landscape, adapting strategies to mitigate potential threats. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your technical and analytical skills while making a tangible impact on the resilience and success of our clients\' operations.

Job Requirements and Preferences

  • Required Qualifications

  • Working towards an undergrad or master\'s degree with a strong foundation in Business Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, IT Security, Management Information Systems/IT Management

  • Passion for technology and an ardent desire to work in risk management

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity or interest in process design, ERP (SAP/Oracle), Microsoft office, SQL, Programming, Process mining, AI governance, Solution architecture, risk technology enablement

  • Desire to work in consulting demonstrated by relevant course work or interest

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions with team members and clients

  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strong academic background in business and technology disciplines

  • Demonstrate a growth-oriented mindset with the ability to innovate and adapt in a dynamic business landscape

  • Exhibit intellectual curiosity and a purpose-driven approach to turn challenges into opportunities and drive meaningful change

  • Utilize structured thinking to effectively analyze and articulate complex problems and solutions

  • Leverage collaborative problem-solving skills and a keen interest in technology to positively influence global and domestic business operations

  • Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

We offer a competitive compensation package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $37.45 - $43.49. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
