Job Description:
This job is responsible for supporting the execution of the Company’s Anti-Money Laundering with a focus on Global Banking and Markets, Global Payment Services and Global Operations. Key responsibilities include working closely with the Money Laundering Reporting Officers and Coverage Execution team to implement the Global Financial Crimes Policy and Standards, and relevant Country Standards. The role is also required to assist Global Financial Crimes executives with activities that support the identification, escalation and timely mitigation of financial crimes risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports the execution of the Global Financial Crimes Program to include:
    • Supports the development and maintenance of Global Financial Crimes owned policies and standards, and reviews relevant Front Line Units/Control Functions-owned policies and procedures to ensure that APAC regulatory requirements and operational risks are appropriately addressed;
    • Assisting in the production of independent financial crimes risk management reporting to Senior Leaders;
    • Assists in the monitoring of changes in regulations applicable to Global Financial Crimes, including advising business leaders, directing the appropriate areas to implement or amend policies, standards, procedures and/or processes to address regulatory requirements, and challenging the implementation plan as needed;
    • Contributes to risk coverage plans, executes independent risk monitoring, testing, and risk assessments;
    • Collaborates with Enterprise Independent Testing to execute independent testing of FLU/CF responsibilities;
    • Assists in the identification, aggregation, reporting, and escalation of the remediation and thematic analysis of FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements related to financial crimes;
    • Assists in the review of internal and external operational loss events, including the development of remediation plans to strengthen controls and providing oversight to ensure they are addressed appropriately
    • Reviews and challenges the FLU/CF’s Single Process Inventory for financial crimes related processes and controls
  • Supports with escalating financial crimes related compliance and operational risks and issues to appropriate governance routines, management/board level committees
  • Liaises with other Coverage Execution Team (CET) managers to ensure consistency in program implementation
  • Manages relationships with key stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of Program activities.

Required Skills:

  • 10-12 Years working in financial crimes compliance
  • Strong understanding of APAC financial crimes laws, rules and regulations
  • Experienced in exam management and regulatory engagement across the APAC region
  • Subject matter expertise in the area of program governance, risk assessments, regulatory change management
  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent years of experience

  • Certification: ACAMS – Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists
