JOB DETAILS:
- Location: Taipei, Taiwan
- Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work a minimum of 24 hours (3 days) every week, either in a hybrid or onsite or remote work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
- Duration: Jan 2025 - Jun 2025
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
We are seeking highly motivated Software Custom Engineering intern/co-op to join our team. In this role –
- Triage/Debug silicon and system AI model issues with software, platform design and silicon design teams
- Accountable for all technical aspects of delivering differentiating software on AMD's APU and GPU platforms
- Implementing optimizations in developer AI applications, and/or assisting developers in doing so
- Provide developer guidance, performance analysis, software optimization, testing and implementation support.
- Identify technical opportunities and lead the implementation of identified technical goals.
- Collaborating with AMD Alliance teams to drive adoption of AMD platforms and business expansion
- Participate with different teams to drive Graphic Driver issues to closure
- Drive short-term solution/WA to long-term solution
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- BS/MS degree with strong academic background or equivalent experience (higher level degree a plus) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering.
- Experience in multi-threaded programming in a x86 architecture in both kernel & user modes.
- Object-oriented design & programming
- Python, C/C++ programming
- Experience with software debugging and related tool in both kernel & user modes is a plus
- Passion for building great software
- Ability to quickly learn new skills and drive completion of business goals
- Experience working in a multi-site environment and ability to travel occasionally to meet with customers
- A team player, who is very self-motivated, loves difficult challenges, and is goal driven
- Excellent verbal/written English communication
