Description of Duties and Tasks
Provide support services for Continuing Education division courses and programs, including handling correspondence, phone inquiries, processing and prioritizing office communications, scheduling meetings, ordering supplies, maintaining files, processing mail, and duplication.
Develop course curricula as assigned by coordinator or director of the programs
Evaluates courses and instructors for upcoming sessions
Communicates with instructors to monitor current and future classes.
Serve as communications liaison with potential Continuing Education division course and program students and instructors. Provide information regarding courses and program offerings.
Schedule Continuing Education division courses and programs based on projects, grants, contracts and other initiatives.
Track event budgets and expenditures.
Develop advertising materials for the department.
Conduct research and compile reports or documents.
Knowledge
Event planning and coordinating processes.
Standard office procedures.
Coordinating details required for course scheduling.
Skills
Maintain an established yet flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
Effectively use interpersonal and communication skills, including tact and diplomacy.
Effectively use organization and planning skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
Creating electronic presentations, information packages, and activity schedules.
