Job Description
Summary
This program involves biomarkers of many diseases that includes metabolic syndrome and diabetes as well as quality improvement projects affecting care of patients in future. This is a part-time position, 15 hours/week.
Job Duties
- Trains in all basic aspects of lab bench work and maintaining database.
- Understands workings of a laboratory.
- Learns the role of biomarkers in disease and learns importance of biorepositoriesase and maintenance of biorepositories.
- Performs pipeting, makes buffers, aliquoting, works on storing the samples.
- Maintains database and performs literature search.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in high school, trade/vocational school or higher education institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program in biological science or chemical field.
- Has knowledge of pipetting.
