This assignment includes facilitating the Global OSM team for multiple base build sites. The focus of this team is to drive OSM (Off-Site Manufacturing) efforts across new-build construction sites and collaborate with vendors/contractors located across North America, Europe, APAC and the Middle East. In addition, our group is dedicated to the implementation of Intel's OSM strategy with the goal of removing inefficiencies within the fabrication, assembly, logistics and construction process. Specific focus on establishing an OSM Central Knowledge and Product Library, applying coding and data analytical skills to project executions data and digitalization/visualization of program library will be major parts of this technical intern assignment. We are looking for an undergrad student to work in the Global Off-Site Manufacturing (OSM) team at our campus in Hillsboro, Oregon or Phoenix, Arizona. This opportunity is for Summer through Fall 2024, full time onsite work schedule for summer and part time at minimum 20 hrs per week during term. As an Off-Site Manufacturing Technical Coordinator Intern, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Primarily support the OSM Senior PM and the Global program manager, including partnership opportunities with cross Virtual Factory leaders. Participate in all aspects of OSM Value Proposition Model development activities. Work closely with all stakeholders, gather and evaluate all inputs from multiple resources. Perform value engineering and financial modeling with applications int CAPEX projects. Conduct research including competitive analysis and user feedback surveys to advise on best approach to defining the OSM Value Proposition. Additional responsibilities as needed based on program needs. Proactively support building OSM culture into our construction programs. Build and drive safety culture of caring in every business environment, office to the construction sites, and from front-end planning to construction execution. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
This position is not eligible for employment-based visa/immigration sponsorship. Intel sponsors individuals for employment-based visas for positions where we experience a shortage of US Workers. These skills shortage roles are typically STEM contributing positions requiring a Master's or PhD degree, or a Bachelor's degree with three years' related job experience. This position does not qualify for Intel Sponsorship because it is either (1) a non-STEM contributing position, or (2) a STEM position that only requires a Bachelor's degree and less than three years' experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration with GPA 3.2 or higher.
3+ months experience or coursework in project management processes and tools, working knowledge with Microsoft Excel and of relational databases and background in Microsoft VBA/Python/SQL.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity of at least one cloud platform such as: Azure, Google Cloud Platform required.
Strong technical background with demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of Devops pipelines, source control and cloud native technologies, as well as development of APIs for integrations by other teams.
Experience in BIM and Hexagon platform or any other 3D graphic/modelling tool.
Prior internship experience.
Knowledge or experience of CAPEX projects.
Experience or college level project on AI or Machine Learning.
